Step 3: Take the package to your nearest parcel drop-off point.

You may return your items within 14 days of receiving your order.

Condition of the Products
For hygiene reasons, we can only accept returns of unopened and unused hoof oils.

For best results, always apply the hoof oil to a dry and, if possible, clean hoof.

1. Clean the Hoof

Thoroughly remove dirt, mud, and bedding using a hoof pick and brush. The hoof should be dry before application to allow the oil to absorb properly.

2. Apply a Thin Layer

Using the brush, apply a thin layer of oil to the coronary band, hoof wall, frog, and heels. Always wipe excess oil off the brush before application.

3. Less Is More

A thin, even layer is all that is needed. The oil should be able to absorb into the hoof and provide nourishment without leaving a heavy or sticky residue.

4. How Often Should I Apply It?

For regular hoof care:
3–4 times per week.

For dry, brittle, or heavily stressed hooves:
Apply daily for several weeks, then reduce the frequency depending on the condition of the hoof.

Important Note for Hoof Boots

If your horse wears hoof boots, please wait at least one hour after applying the oil before putting them on. This allows the oil to absorb properly and helps prevent the hoof boot from slipping.

Because our warehouse operates with extremely fast processing times, orders are often prepared for shipping automatically just a few minutes after purchase.

Can I Still Make Changes to My Order?

What If My Package Has Already Been Shipped?

If the shipping address was completely incorrect, the package will be returned to us as undeliverable, and we will issue a refund once it has been received back.

If you ordered the wrong product, you can simply return it unopened after delivery in accordance with our return policy.

Our hoof oils are made from pure, high-quality natural oils and contain no artificial preservatives. To maintain the best possible quality, we recommend following these storage tips:

The Ideal Storage Location

Store your hoof oil in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and frost, ideally in your tack locker. Avoid leaving the bottle in direct sunlight during hot summer days, for example along the arena fence or in your trailer.

What Happens in Cold Weather?

Because we use genuine plant-based oils, the oil may become slightly thicker or appear cloudy in very cold temperatures. This is a completely natural process and not a sign of reduced quality.

Once the oil is brought back to room temperature or warmed by hand, it will return to its normal consistency.

Shelf Life

When opened and used correctly, our hoof oil has a shelf life of at least 24 months.

Tip

Always close the cap tightly after use to prevent dust, straw, or other stable debris from entering the bottle.

Our hoof oils are high-quality care products and do not replace professional veterinary diagnosis or hoof care.

In cases of severe lameness, acute hoof abscesses, advanced thrush, hoof canker, laminitis, coffin bone rotation or sinking, bleeding, or significant hoof abnormalities, always consult a veterinarian, hoof care professional, or farrier.

Many horse owners will remember the traditional approach: after riding, a thick layer of hoof grease is applied. There are biological reasons why we deliberately chose a liquid hoof oil instead:

Do Not Clog the Pores

Traditional hoof greases (often based on petroleum jelly or mineral oils) can form an airtight barrier over the hoof, much like a layer of plastic. This can prevent the hoof from absorbing moisture from its environment.

For safety reasons, we recommend a withdrawal period of 48 hours before competing for all of our hoof oils.

How to Stay on the Safe Side

Simply stop using the hoof oil two days before your first competition class. The nourishing benefits remain within the hoof horn, your horse's hooves will continue to look their best, and you can compete with confidence.

Hoof Care Throughout the Seasons

Your horse's hooves face different challenges depending on the season. In summer, heat, dry ground, sandy arenas, and dust can take their toll. In winter, mud, moisture, damp bedding, and constantly changing ground conditions become the main concerns.

Important: Always apply hoof oil to a dry and, if possible, clean hoof. Use only a thin layer.

During the Dry Summer Months

In summer, hoof oil is best applied while grooming before riding. This gives the oil enough time to absorb properly before the legs or hooves are washed down later.

Dry ground, sandy arenas, and high temperatures can make the hoof horn appear dry, brittle, or less elastic. Regular hoof care helps keep the coronary band, hoof wall, frog, and heels nourished and supple.

Our Recommendation

Clean the hooves thoroughly during grooming, apply a thin layer of oil to the dry hoof, and then ride as usual. If you rinse your horse's legs after riding, the oil will typically have been absorbed by then.

During the Wet Winter Months

In winter, it often makes more sense to apply hoof oil after riding. Riding on an arena surface, in an indoor arena, or on drier ground often leaves the hoof cleaner and drier than it would be straight from muddy turnout, a wet paddock, or the stable.

Our Recommendation

Before riding, pick out and clean the hooves as usual. After riding, check the hooves again, remove any dirt or sand, and then apply a thin layer of oil to the clean, dry hoof.

For the winter months, our Winter Edition is particularly suitable when the entire hoof needs support in wet, muddy, and damp conditions.
